【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresforuseinthecalibrationofvolumetricware,inaccordancewithSpecificationE694suchasisincommonuseinchemicalandclinicallaboratories.Itisbasedonthegravimetricdeterminationofthequantityofwatereithercontainedordelivered,andtheconversionofthisvaluetotruevolumeatthestandardtemperatureof20Cbymeansofsuitableequationsandstandardtables.Calibrationusingmercuryisexcluded.Calibrationmaybeperformedusingalternativegravimetricmethodology,providedthatitisdemonstratedanddocumentedthattheresultsobtainedareequivalenttothoseobtainedusingthemethodologydescribedherein.1.2Thispracticeisintendedtoencompasscapacitywarebetweenthelimitsof0.1cm3and2000cm3.Typicalproductsfallingwithinthepurviewofthispracticeareburetsgraduated"todeliver",graduatedcylinders,volumetricflasks,specificgravityflasks,measuringanddilutionpipets,andtransferandcapacitypipets.1.3Theproceduresarenotrecommendedforcalibrationofapparatuswithcapacitiesbelow0.1cm3,suchasmicroglassware.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
