【摘要】:Elementalconstituentsinpotablewater,receivingwater,andwastewaterneedtobeidentifiedforsupportofeffectivepollutioncontrolprograms.TestMethodsA,B,andCprovidethetechniquesnecessarytomakesuchmeasurements.NickelisconsideredtoberelativelynontoxictomanandalimitfornickelisnotincludedintheEPANationalInterimPrimaryDrinkingWaterRegulations.Thetoxicityofnickeltoaquaticlifeindicatestolerancesthatvarywidelyandthatareinfluencedbyspecies,pH,synergisticeffects,andotherfactors.Nickelisasilver-whitemetallicelementseldomoccur-ringinnatureintheelementalform.Nickelsaltsaresolubleandcanoccurasaleachatefromnickel-bearingores.Nickelsaltsareusedinmetal-platingandmaybedischargedtosurfaceorgroundwaters.1.1Thesetestmethods,,covertheatomicabsorptiondeterminationofnickelinwaterandwastewaters.Threetestmethodsaregivenasfollows:
